In this blog, I’m going to tell you about | Game Awards 2022
The Game Awards 2022 were held on Thursday, and God of War Ragnarök took the top spot with 10 nominations, followed by Elden Ring from FromSoftware, which was nominated for seven. However, Elden Ring won the game of the year award 2022.
God of War, developed by Santa Monica Studio, won numerous prizes on Thursday, including Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Score, Best Audio, and Best Performance for actor Christopher Judge.
The PlayStation exclusives God of War: Ragnarök, Horizon: Forbidden West, and Stray were nominated for game of the year, along with Xenoblade Chronicles 3, which was exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, Elden Ring, and the cross-platform debut, A Plague Tale: Requiem. All of the candidates for GOTY were also multiple-time nominees in other categories.
Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director of the game, showed up on stage to accept the honor. Through a translator, Miyazaki expressed appreciation to FromSoftware, the creators of Elden Ring, as well as the writer George R.R. Martin. Along with thanking the audience for their support, Miyazaki hinted that there might be more Elden Ring content and other ideas from From Software in the future.
So, with that said, here are the nominees and winners of the Game Awards 2022.
